Fortified church Santa Eulalia of Mérida owes its name to the young twelve Christian persecuted by Calpurnius Governor of the region at the time of Diocletian. Built in the 12th century on a primitive Chapel, then enlarged and modified 13th century to the 15th century. As such, she was classified a historic Monument as early as 1913. You can observe the buttresses, crenellated turrets, machicolations and loopholes of this religious building.
