My guest house is located in the peaceful countryside, just 4 km west of historic Saint Remy de Provence at the foot of Les Alpilles.Nearby you will discover vineyards, olive groves, lavender fields and the artisan villages of St Remy and Les Baux. My converted farmhouse is set among extensive landscaped gardens, with olive trees, flowers, and our own organic fruit and vegetables garden, it also boasts a large outdoor pool and boules pitch. My old Provencal mas in the heart of the Alpilles countryside is now a charming & luxury "maison d'hote". More a country house than a hotel, the aim is to create a friendly, relaxing atmosphere "à la bonne franquette" which means without any fuss. Guests are treated as friends so you will assured of an enjoyable stay. At the Mas de Figues, Guests will be very well looked after, in charming and comfortable surroundings. Although there is little fuss, comfort is not forgotten. The bedrooms are delightful; simply furnished but comfortable, they are decorated with Provencal fabrics and antique furniture. All the rooms are furnished with a queen size bed with canopy and interesting antique furniture. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, WC, safe, fridge and air conditioning. In My Country Home, there is a small salon area where you can relax but most people tend to congregate on the terrace at the apéritif time. ... In our inviting dining room you will enjoy delicious fresh breakfasts (brunchs) and sample some typically Provencal cuisine. During the summer months, breakfast is served on the teracce and on cooler days in the dinning romm. The emphasis is on good quality, fresh, local produce, which the chef uses to create delicious set menus. The terrace overlooks the pool and extensive grounds which are a delight to all the senses. Eight hundred olive trees have been planted, echoing the local environment, as well as fruit and almond trees. Flowers and plants abound, especially around the house, |
