Mediterranean décor, Montouliers with its houses tightened around the Castle and the Church, is a pyramid village with a little more than 200 inhabitants. The name of the village of Montouliers appears in the 18th century, its origin is Latin: monten (Mount) olier (Potter). It is also called the Mount of olives because many olive trees had been planted. The village is famous for its streets in calade (paved with pebbles). The Roman fountain is a curiosity to the village. According to legend, it was built by Jules Caesar's legions.
